On Thursday, November 18, ACOG held a congressional briefing titled “COVID-19 in Pregnancy: What You Need to Know,” in which ACOG Fellows and COVID-19 Expert Work Group leaders Laura Riley, MD, FACOG, and Denise Jamieson, MD, MPH, FACOG, shared their expertise on COVID-19 in pregnancy and the safety and efficacy of the vaccines. Drs. Riley and Jamieson explained the data on how COVID-19 impacts pregnant people and their pregnancies and provided a timeline of ACOG's recommendations regarding the COVID-19 vaccines in pregnancy.

To broaden the reach of this important message, ACOG created a social media toolkit with helpful graphics highlighting the facts about COVID-19 in pregnancy and urged Members of Congress to disseminate this information widely and encourage their constituents to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to protect themselves and their pregnancies. You can help us keep the conversation going by using our sample posts and graphics to deliver the facts on social media.
