Urge Congress to Protect Maternal Health Provisions in the Build Back Better Act

As Congress negotiates the final version of key budget legislation, the Build Back Better Act, they need to hear from you that they must prioritize and protect the bill’s maternal health provisions. Congress is choosing between many competing priorities in the bill—including many within the Medicaid program—and key maternal health gains are at risk.

It is critical that Congress does not scale back the permanent mandate for states to extend Medicaid coverage to 12 months after the end of pregnancy.
