Application for COVID-19 Relief Funds Reopened for All Practices: Apply by September 13!
Thanks in part to ACOG’s advocacy efforts, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has reopened the application portal for practices that see Medicare or Medicaid patients and have not yet received the maximum amount of relief funds available to them. The following practice types are eligible to apply for additional funds through September 13:
- Practices that received a direct deposit from HHS in the spring but have not subsequently applied for additional funds
- Practices that see Medicaid patients and have not yet received federal relief funds
All practices are eligible to receive relief funds that equal 2% of the practice’s 2018 total patient revenue. If you have not received relief funds equal to this amount, we recommend you apply to HHS by the September 13 deadline. For more information on eligibility and instructions for how to apply, view our updated Step-by-Step Guide.
While ACOG is pleased that HHS is implementing our recommendation to reopen the application portal, we recognize that your practices still need further relief. We are calling on Congress to provide additional financial relief for physician practices in any forthcoming COVID-19 legislation – write to your members of Congress today!
