Deadline Extended: Apply for Federal Relief Now!

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has extended the deadline again for eligible practices to apply for federal relief funds. Practices that see Medicaid patients and were previously excluded from receiving federal relief funds are eligible to apply by the August 28 deadline. Practices that previously received federal relief from HHS are not eligible to apply for additional funds at this time. Those that received loans through Paycheck Protection Program are eligible to apply.

ACOG recognizes that many obstetrics and gynecology practices continue to face significant financial strain and are not eligible for this allocation of relief funds. We recently wrote to HHS and requested that they open up relief fund applications for all obstetrician-gynecologists who have not yet received equitable relief. We are also urging Congress  to include additional financial relief for obstetrician-gynecologists in upcoming federal legislation.
