2020 ACOG Meetings Update
Last month we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 ACOG Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting (ACSM) in Seattle, Washington, originally scheduled for April 24-27. After careful consideration, we’ve also decided to cancel all upcoming in person 2020 ACOG Annual District Meetings this fall.
While you continue to work on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic in uncertain conditions, we continue to advocate for your safety–which includes the cancelation of in-person events such as these. We also recognize that many travel moratoriums have been put in place prohibiting our members from traveling to meetings later this year, state and local governments may need to continue their restrictions on large events, and some members may face financial challenges that make attending meetings difficult.
ACOG’s Education Division, Committee on Scientific Program, and District Advisory Councils are hard at work reformatting these meetings to bring you the unparalleled scientific education and dynamic, cutting-edge conversations that define ACOG meetings in a way that you can access during and despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
While we don’t yet have details to share, rest assured the formats will be flexible and available for you when you have time. We know that this continues to be a critical time for our members and their patients. Over the coming weeks, we support you as you navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to visit the COVID-19 topic page on our website to review resources covering clinical guidance, practice management support, and more.
We hope by taking the time to mindfully pivot these meetings to something more accessible to you, we can offer the quality education and community networking you’d expect at an ACOG meeting in a responsible and accessible way.
