ACOG is Working to Protect You

Dear Fellows, Colleagues, and Friends,

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, it is important to me that you know that our team is working every day to ensure you have the information you need to care for your patients and that you have the resources you need to protect yourself.

This morning, I personally spoke with U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Jerome Adams, on behalf of our 60,000 members and expressed to him that it is critically important that obstetrician-gynecologists and other health care practitioners receive the equipment and resources they need to protect themselves as they care for their patients. Dr. Adams wanted me to affirm to our membership his commitment to working towards this and we will continue to be in touch with him and others until all of our members have what they need. My call today follows tireless advocacy by our team at ACOG. We are in touch with lawmakers throughout the country and have continually insisted that the Administration and Congress expedite personal protective equipment ("PPE"), including N95 production and other protective gear, as well as ventilators.
