Reflections from the Initial Outbreak

In a video entry, Frank Chervenak, MD, an obstetrics and gynecology department chair in a major New York City hospital, shares his department's challenges and thanks his colleagues for their heroism while coping with the initial COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in March 2020.

Dr. Frank Chervenak is the chair of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he is also associate dean for international medicine.
