Include ACOG Foundation in Your Estate Plans
There are several options available to include ACOG Foundation in your estate plans:
-
A bequest in your will or trust is an easy way to provide for family while also helping to secure the future of the field. Gifts of any size will support our mission. You can begin the process of creating your legacy, free of charge, through the FreeWill* estate planning tools.
If you already have estate plans in place, here is some suggested verbiage to take to your attorney:
After fulfilling all other specific provisions, I give, devise and bequeath ___% of the remainder (or $___) of my estate to the ACOG Foundation, a charitable corporation (Tax ID #32217981) currently having offices at 409 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20024.Have you already included a gift in your will or trust? Please fill out this form to let us know! We would love to thank you for your generosity.
*The FreeWill resource is currently only available U.S. members.

Donating appreciated stocks and/or securities is one of the easiest ways to support ACOG Foundation. By donating the stock directly to a charity, you may avoid the capital gains tax; in addition, you may be eligible to deduct the full fair-market value of the donated asset up to the overall amount allowed by the IRS.**
If you would like to donate marketable securities, please have your broker or custodian send the certificates "free and clear" through the DTC system to:
DTC ID #8862
Merrill Lynch Account: 5TL-02248
Account Name: ACOG FoundationEither you or your custodian should contact Mr. Winship Ross in the office of George Dunn and Peter Dunne at the Global Institutional Consulting Division of Merrill Lynch to notify him of a pending transfer. Please include the name and quantity of the securities. His email is [email protected] and phone is (301) 215-4445.

If you are 70 ½ years of age or older and would like to donate to ACOG Foundation now, consider making a gift from your IRA. You can make tax-free gifts up to $100,000 per person per year ($200,000 for couples). By giving directly from your IRA, you won’t increase your adjusted gross income and possibly subject your Social Security income to a higher level of taxation.
