Opioid Use Disorder: Removal of Waiver Requirement
As part of as the Consolidated Appropriations Act, physicians no longer need a DATA waiver to treat Opioid Use Disorder or Substance Use Disorder. Approximately 1.9 million physicians will be eligible to treat OUD and SUD if they have a standard DEA registration number.
