August is National Immunization Awareness Month
August is National Immunization Awareness Month! This annual observance highlights the importance of on-time vaccination for people of all ages.
Use this month as an opportunity to ensure that routine vaccination is maintained even during the COVID-19 pandemic. ACOG encourages you to start preparing your practice and yourself for the 2020–21 flu season. Although a vaccine for COVID-19 will likely not be available for some time, annual flu vaccination is critical to help protect vulnerable populations, including pregnant people.
