About this Unit

Bacterial vaginosis is the most common vaginal infection in women of childbearing age, including pregnant women. It is associated with increased obstetric and gynecologic complications including preterm birth, chorioamnionitis, infertility, endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease and postprocedural gynecological infections.
