Pregnant women are at increased risk of severe or fatal COVID-19 infection, yet many pregnant people have only received one or more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccines are key because they are safe and effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death from the virus that causes COVID-19.
