ABSTRACT: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic illness with increased morbidity and mortality. The prevalence of diabetes mellitus is increasing among women of all ages. This monograph provides an overview of the pathophysiology, evaluation, and management of diabetes mellitus and comorbidities in women. Management approaches in pediatric, adolescent, reproductive-aged, perimenopausal, and postmenopausal patients are addressed.
