About the Webinar
ACOG has long opposed political interference that restricts quality patient care. In 2021, abortion access is once again front-and-center in the state legislatures. Political realities threaten new and graver restrictions while presenting opportunities to fortify protections and increase services.
Moderated by a national expert involved in the development of ACOG guidelines, this panel features ACOG state advocacy leaders who have deployed successful on-the-ground advocacy efforts in both protective and restrictive environments. The discussion will equip attendees with concrete strategies for leveraging obstetrician-gynecologists’ expert voices to influence legislators and other key decisionmakers, cultivate partnerships inside and outside the health care community, mobilize ACOG members, and shape a fact-based public discourse.
