Overview
Despite all the distractions of 2020 and 2021, work to reduce maternal mortality has continued full steam ahead. Maternal mortality review committees have continued their surveillance on the state level and we continue to learn about causes and factors leading to preventable loss of mothers. On September 24, 2021, District VII hosted four excellent speakers who came together to discuss doable strategies for reducing maternal mortality at the hospital and community levels.
