This session aims to address some possible perceptions of PPD treatment and the role of ZULRESSO® (brexanolone) injection, for intravenous use, as the first FDA-approved pharmacologic therapy for postpartum depression in patients 15 years and older.

David Silver, MD, specializes in psychiatry and is certified in obstetrics and gynecology and neurology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He practices at UPMC Women's Behavioral Health Specialists and is affiliated with UPMC Community Osteopathic, UPMC West Shore, and UPMC Harrisburg. He completed his fellowship program at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, residencies at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Union Memorial Hospital at Baltimore, and medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College—Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Michael Randell is an award-winning board-certified obstetrician–gynecologist in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia, and is on the Medical Staff at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital in the Department of Gynecology. He received his medical degree with research distinction from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. His research interests have led to many notable presentations at various scientific meetings.
