Open Positions 

SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY

A PGY-3 position available July 1, 2021. Applicants must be currently enrolled as a PGY-2 (progressing to PGY-3 effective July 1, 2021) or a current PGY-3 (effective July 1, 2021), in good standing, at an accredited ACGME. All applicants must have passed USMLE/COMLEX Steps 1, 2 ,3 & CS/PE.

The following application material should be emailed as a single PDF document to Residency Program Director Leah Kaufman, MD, at kaufmale@upstate.edu with "PGY-3 position" in the subject line:

  1. ERAS application complete with personal statement, MSPE, and transcript
  2. Current CV
  3. Cover letter including reason for leaving your current program
  4. ACGME case log report
  5. CREOG Scores for year 1 and 2
  6. A letter from your current program director with a verification of your being in good standing and a confirmation that they will release from your current contract
  7. Two other current letters of recommendation

Ascension St. Vincent Women’s Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis is recruiting for a PGY-3 position (available now). Applicants must be currently enrolled as a PGY-2 (progressing to PGY-3 effective (7/1/2021) or a current PGY-3 (effective 7/1/2021), in good standing, at an accredited ACGME program and on track to complete residency in June 2023. All applicants must have passed USMLE/COMLEX Steps 1, 2 & CS/PE. Passage of step 3 is preferred. No exceptions.

The following application material should be emailed as a single PDF document to our Program Email at inindmbobgyn@ascension.org with PGY-3 position in the subject line:

  1. Copy of previously completed ERAS application including personal statement, MSPE, Final Medical School transcript, USMLE/COMLEX scores part 1, 2 & CS/PE, USMLE/COMLEX Part 3, if available, and your photo
  2. Current CV
  3. Cover letter including reason for leaving your current program
  4. A letter from your current program director which includes the following: verification of your current level of training; willingness to release you from your current training contract; verification of your current good standing and expectation to complete your current level of training by June 30, 2023; a list of completed rotations (including dates); rotation specific evaluations; summative competency-based performance evaluation; ACGME milestone year-end reports; most recent 6-month semi-annual review report; CREOG scores and ACGME case logs (experience by role report) with all roles displayed.
  5. The name and contact information of two attending physicians within your current residency program who will submit letter of recommendations on your behalf. Please have the faculty members send their letters of recommendation, under separate cover, to our Program Email at inindmbobgyn@ascension.org. Please make certain they reference that you have waived your rights to review the letters of recommendation under FERPA.

St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, Paterson, NJ

PGY-3 OB/GYN position, unexpectedly, available for July 1, 2021, in Paterson, New Jersey. Interested candidates must have successfully completed two years of training in good standing at a fully accredited ACGME Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Training Program, by June 2021, and have completed the USMLE Step 3 or COMLEX scores.

The following application material should be sent via email ONLY to Dr. Khaled Hassan, Attn: Ms. Marianna Eby, Residency Program Coordinator, at ebym@sjhmc.org. Applicants must include the following: a copy of ERAS application with Dean’s Letter, MSPE, Medical School Transcript, USMLE Scores Step 1, 2 CS/CK, and Step 3, Current CV, Medical School Diploma, and Cover Letter explaining reason for leaving current program.

Only complete applications will be considered. We will subsequently require current ACGME case log report through April 2021, and three letters of recommendation (one letter of recommendation must be from your current Program Director which should include verification that you are a PGY-2 in good standing, and are expected to satisfactorily complete your training by June 30, 2021, all CREOG scores, list of completed rotations including dates, and rotation specific evaluations once available. The other two letters of recommendation must be from attending physicians at your current program). Only qualified applicants will be considered. Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (NYC) Health and Hospital/Queens Training Program

A PGY-3 position is available starting July 1, 2021. Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing and will have completed two years of training at an ACGME accredited ob-gyn residency program by June 30, 2021. 

Interested candidates should prepare the following information to submit for review (if applicable): Original ERAS application, Medical school diploma, ECFMG certificate, Medical school transcript, MSPE, USMLE scores, Personal statement), Current CV, Cover letter addressing the rationale to transfer to another program, ACGME Log case summary, Evaluations in PGY I and the semiannual evaluation PGY II, list of completed rotations with dates, CREOG scores, summative competency-based performance evaluations, letter of good standing from your current program director verifying your training and progress in the program. Additional, current letters of recommendation.

Your program director will need to submit a summary evaluation of your performance, all materials should be sent BY EMAIL ONLY, to Marilyn Johnson johnmari@nychhc.org with “PGY-3 Application” in the subject line. You will be notified of an opportunity to interview once your application packet is complete, and all materials have been reviewed. Applicants will be notified by e-mail if selected for an interview.

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University/ University Hospital – Brooklyn, NY

A PGY-3 position is available starting July 1, 2020. Applicants must currently be in good standing as a PGY-2 in an ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. Your program director should be aware that you are applying for the position. Applicants should submit the following to the Program Director, Dr. Mudar Dalloul: 1. Cover letter describing your reason for leaving your current program. 2.Copy of your ERAS application including MSPE and final medical school transcript grades. 3. USMLE/COMLEX Steps 1, 2, and 3 score reports. 4. At least one recent (within the prior 12 months) letter of recommendation from current program faculty. 5. Letter of recommendation from your current program director also verifying your good standing. 6. CREOG scores for PGY-1 and PGY-2 year. 7. List of completed rotations including dates and description of rotations.

Additional documents will be requested prior to making an offer including:  Milestone evaluations, recent summative evaluation of performance and ACGME caselog report. You will only be contacted by our program once your application is complete to arrange a virtual interview. Kern Medical – Bakersfield, CA

Our residency program has a PGY-3 opening beginning July 1, 2020. Applicants must be in good standing at their current program and/or successfully completed one year of training in an ACGME accredited ob-gyn residency training program. 

The following documents are required: ERAS application to include a copy of your medical school transcript, medical school diploma, Dean’s letter, USMLE Step 1, 2, 3, C/S examination score transcripts, Current Curriculum Vitae, Letters of recommendation from two current ob-gyn faculty, CREOG exam scores, Your personal statement indicating reason for leaving program, seeking transfer to our location/program. Up-to-date case log report with all of your post graduate surgical experience. List of rotations completed to date. International medical graduates must have ECFMG certificate, US Citizenship or US permanent resident status, California PTAL or California license. All qualified candidates must be eligible to work in California, and be able to obtain a medical license with the California Medical Board.
