University of California Irvine, Orange, CA

PGY-2 OB/GYN position available starting June 22, 2022. Qualified applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of one year of training in an ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology training program and be in good standing.

The following application materials should be emailed to the Program Manager, Reggie Melendez, at [email protected].

  1. A cover letter describing your interest in transferring to our program
  2. A copy of your complete ERAS application from your PGY1 application (including Personal Statement, MSPE, final medical school transcript, USMLE score reports and Letters of Recommendation)
  3. An updated CV
  4. Three (additional) recent letters of recommendations from your current program's faculty
  5. Letter of recommendation from your current program director, which should include:
    1. Verification of your current level of training
    2. Willingness to release you from your current training contract (if applicable)
    3. Verification of your good standing in the program
  6. CREOG exam scores report for PGY-1
  7. A list of completed rotations, including dates
  8. Mid-year (Dec/Jan) Milestone summary the current academic year

New letters of recommendation should be sent directly to the Program Coordinator by their writers.

All qualified candidates must be eligible to work in California and be able to obtain a postgraduate training license with the California Medical Board. By the start date, candidates must have successfully passed USMLE Step 3. Additional documents may be requested. Please direct any questions to the Program Coordinator listed above by email. Howard University Hospital, Washington, D.C.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking to fill a PGY-2 categorical resident position for the 2022–2023 academic year. To be considered for the position, applicants must be in good academic standing in a current PGY-1 position at an accredited ACGME OB/GYN residency program and will have successfully completed one year (12 months) of training by June 2022. Applicants must have passed USMLE/COMPLEX Steps 1 & 2 and must be able to start by July 1, 2022.

Only applicants with completed packets will be reviewed and contacted via email for an opportunity to be interviewed. McGovern Medical School, Houston, TX

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at the UTHealth McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas, is seeking to fill a PGY-2 categorical resident position for the 2022-2023 academic year that just opened. To be considered for the position, applicants must be in good academic standing in a current PGY-1 position at an accredited ACGME OB/GYN residency program and will have successfully completed one year (12 months) of training by June 2022. Applicants must have passed USMLE/COMLEX Steps 1 & 2 and must be able to start by July 1, 2022.

The OB/GYN Residency Program at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, NY, is looking to fill a PGY-2 categorical resident position in OBGYN to begin on or before July 1, 2022.

To be eligible to apply for the PGY-2 position, the applicant must be in a current PGY-1 position or completed a PGY-1 position in an ACGME-accredited OBGYN program in good standing.

University of Mississippi Medical Center, MS

The Ob/Gyn Residency Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking to fill a PGY-2 categorical resident position beginning July 1, 2022. To be eligible for the PGY-2 position, candidates must have/will have successfully completed one (1) year of training in an ACGME accredited Ob/Gyn Residency program.

The OB/GYN Residency Program at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver has a PGY-2 position available starting July 1, 2022. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. To be eligible to apply for the PGY-2 position, the applicant must complete a PGY-1 position in an ACGME-accredited OBGYN program in good standing as of June 2022.

Sisters of Charity Hospital, Buffalo, NY

A PGY-2 position will be available beginning as soon as January 3, 2022, at the Sisters of Charity Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program which is sponsored by the University at Buffalo.

Eligible applicants must have successfully completed their PGY-1 year of residency training in an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program and preferably some of their PGY-2 year. They must be in good standing at their current residency program and have ideally passed their USMLE or COMLEX Step 3 examination.

Interested applicants should submit the following information for review:
