The Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) Ob/Gyn Residency Program is seeking applicants for a PGY-2 position beginning July 1, 2023. Eligible candidates must have completed or be on track to complete PGY-1 in an ACGME accredited Ob/Gyn program. Applicants in training must be in good standing with their current program.

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBI), Newark, NJ

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBI), Newark, NJ is looking to fill a categorical PGY-2 resident position starting on July 1, 2023. Qualified applicants must currently be in good academic standing in their PGY-1 year of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN training program and expected to successfully complete it by June 30, 2023. All applicants must have completed USMLE/COMLEX Steps 1-3 prior to starting.

Charleston Area Medical Center – Institute of Academic Medicine Women and Children’s Hospital, Charleston, WV

A PGY-2 position is available at Charleston Area Medical Center to begin July 1, 2023. The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine provides continuing medical education, outreach education and research support to physicians and allied medical professionals as well as patient and consumer health service projects in West Virginia and the region. CAMC is a regional campus for the WVU School of Medicine and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital offers obstetric services, including high-risk maternal-fetal medicine, in addition to a full range of gynecologic services. Each year more than 2,000 babies are born at CAMC Women and Children's Hospital, many of which are high-risk births. We are home to the region's largest and busiest Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit and Level I (highest level) pediatric intensive care unit.

Applicants should currently be a PGY 1 in an ACGME-accredited Ob/Gyn training program, be in good standing within the program, and expected to successfully complete it by June 30, 2023. All applicants must have successfully passed USMLE/COMLEX Steps 1, 2, and 3 prior to starting. Only those who have graduated from medical school in or after 2021 will be considered.

Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island, NY

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Richmond University Medical Center on Staten Island, New York, is looking to fill a categorical PGY-2 resident position starting on July 1, 2023. Qualified applicants must currently be in good academic standing in their PGY-1 year of an ACGME-accredited Ob/Gyn training program and expected to successfully complete it by June 30, 2023. All applicants must have completed USMLE/COMLEX Steps 1 and 2 and ideally Step 3 prior to starting.

Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC), an academic affiliate of Downstate Medical Center is an independently run, community hospital with a high volume of obstetrical and gynecological pathology. We are a Level 1 trauma center with a level 3 NICU.

Prisma Health–University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, Greenville, SC

The Prisma Health – University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville OBGYN Residency Program is offering a categorical PGY-2 position starting July 1, 2023. This is part of a complement increase from 6 to 7 residents per year. We have matched 7 incoming PGY-1s starting July 1, 2023. The ACGME has also approved the addition of a seventh resident to the PGY-2 class simultaneously.

Please note that this position is only open to either:

  • a PGY-1 completing a categorical intern year at an OBGYN residency program that is closing, or
  • a PGY-1 completing an OBGYN preliminary intern year

Per the ACGME’s stipulations, this position is not available to residents leaving their program for other reasons. Applicants must be in good academic standing in their current program and be on track for promotion to PGY-2 (meeting appropriate milestone levels) by July 1, 2023. Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, IL

A PGY-2 position is available at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital to begin June 25, 2023. We are an independent academic institution with all subspecialties represented on one campus. The MFM division supports 1 of 2 fetal surgery centers in Illinois. Level 1 Trauma Center. Level 3 NICU. Excellent surgical training. The MIGS division sponsors a fellowship.

The University of Illinois at Chicago Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency training Program is looking to fill the rising PGY-2 class with a categorical resident position starting at the beginning of the next academic year (June 26, 2023). We are looking for an enthusiastic applicant with an excellent academic foundation, strong clinical background, and solid surgical skills to join our supportive, nurturing, and stimulating academic program. To be eligible for this position, applicants must be in good academic standing, in their current PGY-1 position at an accredited ACGME OBGYN training program and have successfully completed at least their first 12 months of training by July 1, 2023.
