Regional Representative for the CREOG Council
ACOG’s Council on Residency Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology announces that elections will be held at this year’s CREOG/APGO Annual Meeting Region Lunches for Regional Representatives for Regions 1, 3, and 5. The Regional Representatives serve as important liaisons between the Council and the CREOG region’s program directors and managers. Regional Representatives have opportunities to contribute to CREOG activities in many other assigned or self-initiated ways.
Term of Service
The elected CREOG Regional Representative must be willing to serve the full 3-year term and, if re-elected, the Regional Representative is eligible to serve a second 3-year term.
Requirements
Each Regional Representative must:
- Be a Fellow of ACOG and a current Program Director of an ACGME accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Be willing to serve the full three year term with eligibility for one additional three-year term
- Have current or recent leadership experience in GME
- Be currently certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Be able to devote time to CREOG Council's meetings and work:
- Attend (2) CREOG Council meetings per year:
- Winter meeting (in-person): immediately preceding the CREOG and APGO Annual Meeting (CAAM)- two half days, late February or early March
- Summer meeting (virtual): mid – late July
- Attend virtual CREOG Executive Committee meetings:
- Winter meeting- in advance of the Council meeting and the CAAM – early February
- Summer meeting- in advance of the Council meeting and Education Retreat – early – mid July
- Fall meeting – October / November
- Attend and conduct the scheduled CREOG Regional Luncheon meetings at the following meetings:
- CREOG and APGO Annual Meeting (CAAM): late February/early March
- CREOG Education Retreat: late July
- Serve as a member of the Planning Committee for the CREOG Education Retreat
- Involves attending monthly virtual meetings
- Participate subcommittee, task force, and other ad hoc activities assigned by the Council or its Chair
- Attend (2) CREOG Council meetings per year:

How to Apply
The deadline to apply is January 27, 2023. If selected by the Region, the position will start effective after the inauguration of the College President at the ACOG Annual Clinical Meeting in May 2023. Applications will be shared with relevant regions in advance of the CREOG Region Lunch elections.
