Acknowledgements

The impact of a woman’s death as a result of childbirth is long-lasting. For the team entrusted with her care and her family, the loss is devastating. District II would like to take this opportunity to thank those obstetric providers, obstetrician–gynecologists, labor and delivery nurses, midwives, anesthesiologists, family practitioners, hospital administrators, and all of the multidisciplinary support team members who have selflessly donated their time and expertise to the Safe Motherhood Initiative. The knowledge, input, and commitment to improve obstetric care quality and management and decrease maternal mortality and morbidity in New York state are unsurpassed.
