Medical Student Representative
District I Medical Student Representative
Eligibility and Term
- One-year term
- Individual remain in District I as a medical student for the entirety of the term
- Individuals may hold a concurrent position within ACOG during their term
Selection Process
- Deadline: May 1
- Please submit a CV with a brief one-page statement reviewing your experience and goals to the District I Program Manager
- District I Junior Fellow Past-Chair, Chair, Vice-Chair and Advisor will form nominating committee for review of applications
Responsibilities
- Serve as resource for medical students interested in ob-gyn and ACOG within the District
- Maintain database of medical student interest groups including faculty advisors and medical students within each District
- Share this list with ACOG National for update on website annually
- Communicate announcements and opportunities relevant to medical students to interest groups for dissemination to their members
- Report updates to the District Junior Fellow Chair for both Interim and Annual Advisory Council meetings taking place each spring and fall
- Organize/attend Annual District I service project taking place at Junior Fellow and Medical Student (JFMS) Day in Waltham, Massachusetts, annually
- Attend meetings of the District I Junior Fellow Advisory Council (spring/fall)
