ABSTRACT: Asthma is a common and potentially life-threatening lung disease. The prevalence of asthma is higher in women than in men. This monograph provides an overview of the pathophysiology, evaluation, and management of asthma in women. Management approaches in reproductive-aged, pregnant, and postmenopausal patients are addressed.
