The Darney-Landy Fellow position at ACOG is a one-year placement for obstetrician–gynecologists with fellowship training in complex family planning. It honors the clinical excellence of Phil Darney, MD, MSc, FACOG, and the collaborative advocacy of Uta Landy, PhD.
Jayme Trevino, MD, MPH is an ob-gyn and complex family planning subspecialist. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and completed her medical degree and master’s degree in public health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. During medical school, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which recognizes students, residents, and faculty for compassionate care.
Dr. Trevino completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Rush University in Chicago and fellowship training in complex family planning at Washington University in St. Louis. Her clinical and research interests are focused on increasing access to evidence-based abortion and miscarriage care and evaluating the effects of legislation on reproductive health disparities, justice-informed contraceptive counseling, and reproductive autonomy.
