The Darney-Landy Fellow position at ACOG is a one-year placement for obstetrician–gynecologists with fellowship training in complex family planning. It honors the clinical excellence of Phil Darney, MD, MSc, FACOG, and the collaborative advocacy of Uta Landy, PhD.
Dr. Kristyn Brandi (she/her/ella) is an obstetrician–gynecologist, family planning subspecialist, and steadfast advocate of reproductive autonomy for people of color. She completed her medical school and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She completed a family planning fellowship at Boston University, where she also earned her master of public health with a concentration in health law, bioethics, and human rights. Her research focuses on reproductive decision making, contraceptive coercion, and racism in reproductive health care. She serves as the board chair of Physicians for Reproductive Health; sits on several subcommittees for the Society of Family Planning; and is a founding member of Centering Equity, Racial, and Cultural Literacy in Family Planning. She proudly identifies as a Latina pansexual abortion provider.
