SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES

After completing this course, participants should be able to:

  • Improve team building and communication techniques
  • Address the myriad medical staff issues related to credentialing and privileging
  • Implement the use of drills and simulations at your institution or improve existing mechanisms
  • Disclose adverse events and implement strategies to assist the patient, her family, and the second victim

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  • Present or future physician leaders in hospital departments of ob-gyn, ambulatory care centers, or multi-specialty groups (titles such as Department Chair or Chief Medical Officer)
  • Nurse leaders in hospital Labor and Delivery departments such as nurse managers (NOTE: Nursing Continuing Education Units [CEUs] are available)

EARN CME

  • Maintenance of Certification Part IV credit from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology will be available.
  • Continuing education contact hours will be available for nurses
