ACOG Coding Workshop, Washington, DC (19C6)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

ACOG's Committee on Health Economics and Coding and ACOG's Executive Board believe physicians must educate themselves and their staff about appropriate coding and billing practices. Get the resources you need to successfully transition to new payment models under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA), keep up with ongoing changes to payment policies, as well as to continue honing your diagnostic and procedural coding skills.

Diagnostic and procedural coding principles and guidelines will be illustrated with the current HIPAA standard code sets; ICD-10-CM and CPT. This workshop will consist of up to three days. This format enables physicians to choose the topic or topics of interest to them. 

Agenda format
• Day I — E/M Services and Medicare’s Documentation Guidelines
• Day II —Gynecologic Procedure Coding
• Day III — Obstetric Coding

Through question and answer sessions, discussions and case studies, physicians should learn how correct coding can positively affect their practice. This workshop is designed for physicians. However, if accompanied by a physician, up to five office coding staff may also attend. Once the physician has attended, his/her staff may attend alone for up to two years after the date the physician attended. Contact the Registrar for more information.

FEES:

Early Bird Pricing (EBP). Fees apply for attendees who register two months or more prior to the start date of their selected Workshop are eligible to receive $100 off their registration fees! Regular Registration Fees (REG) apply for Attendees who register after the Early Bird Pricing period for their particular Workshop has expired. Early Bird and Regular registration fees are as follows.

Enrollment is limited to the first 120 participants. Exceptions cannot be made. Space in a workshop is not reserved until payment is received. We recommend that you verify your registration status with the ACOG Registrar at (800) 673-8444 prior to making travel or hotel arrangements. We are not responsible for non-refundable airline tickets or hotel reservations. ACOG reserves a limited number of hotel rooms for attendees at the Workshop hotel at a reduced rate. These rooms are available on a “first come, first served” basis. You should book your room early to receive the discounted rate. Rooms will not be available at the reduced rate after the date listed as "Last Day for Special Room Rate."  If the room block sells out prior to the "Last Day for Special Room Rate” typical room rates for the hotel will apply, if rooms are still available.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations must be in writing and received by the ACOG Registrar two weeks prior to the workshop date. No refunds will be made after that time. Registration fees will be refunded minus an administrative fee of $100.00 per participant.

Registrants may transfer once  from one workshop to another workshop being held in 2019 without an additional fee. Additional requests to transfer from one workshop to another within the same year will be assessed a fee of $100.00 per participant. Transfers from a 2018 workshop into a 2019 workshop are not permitted. Registrants who plan to transfer to a different workshop within the same year but who fail to do so will be subject to the administrative fee of $100.00 on their refund. Cancellation Fees may not be applied to other educational activities.

The breakdown of the number of credits for each day of the meeting is as follows:
