This year’s meeting, with the theme of “Beat the Burnout”, is designed to explore lifestyle changes and habits that can help you decrease incidences of burnout, build resilience, and enhance work-life balance. Understanding that there is a link between a healthy mind and body, we will begin each day with a short stretching, walking, or running activity. This will be followed by talks and breakout sessions featuring guest speakers who are experts in their field.

  • Learning to recognize the power of appreciation and sidestepping perceived obstacles to showing our appreciation for others

  • Breakout sessions on emotional intelligence and leadership, financial wellness, mindful practices, mentorship, positive interventions, and self-compassion

  • Activities sessions that reinforce the importance of finding balance and passion in your life, such as yoga, team building relays, painting, Zumba, bird-watching, ballroom dancing and more!

  • Wine-tasting at the Welcome Reception

  • Family movie night

Submit an abstract for presentation at the Annual District I Meeting! We are currently accepting abstracts for 1) Research; 2) Wellness; and 3) Patient Safety/Quality Improvement Initiatives (can include Wellness Initiatives)

Medical students and Junior Fellows are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentation. Those chosen for display will be eligible for monetary prizes!

Junior Fellows are invited to submit abstracts for oral presentation. The Junior Fellow who authors the best abstract for oral presentation from District I will be invited to present at the meeting, and receive free registration, hotel, travel, and qualify for an opportunity to present at the 2020 ACOG Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting in Seattle, Washington.
