ACOG Congratulates Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus as the new Director-General of WHO

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) extends sincere congratulations to Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus as he steps into the role of Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO). ACOG has had the immense privilege of working in Ethiopia on various projects and experiencing firsthand the innovative health care initiatives Dr. Tedros has implemented that further the goals of increasing the healthcare workforce, quality medical education and community healthcare outreach. We are aligned with his vision of creating a strong, capable global medical community that can take care of all of its citizens. ACOG looks forward to working with Dr. Tedros as we implement strategies that will propel us towards attaining the Sustainable Development Goals.
