Small or Rural Hospital Review

What is it?

For small or rural hospitals (100 or fewer beds, 4000 or fewer admissions), the VRQC Program offers a scaled down version of the standard site visit.

The 4-day review includes a comprehensive, department-wide evaluation conducted by a customized team of health care professionals targeted towards the unique needs and resources of critical-access facilities.

How much does it cost?

The total fee is $35,000 which includes:

  • A deposit of $10,000, payable at the time of application
  • Travel, lodging, meals, remuneration for the team, and program administrative costs

Additional reviewers may be added to the team at a cost of $5,000 per reviewer.
