Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO) is pleased to announce the launch of a new obstetrics and gynecology project in partnership with Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital (SKMH) in Kampot, Cambodia. HVO will work with the Ob-Gyn Department of SKMH to expand obstetric and gynecologic services at SKMH.

HVO volunteers will provide formal lectures and informal continuing education in obstetrics and gynecology to staff, students and residents at SKMH. Midwives may also participate in training. Volunteers will provide clinical and didactic training, including formal and supplemental lectures, case discussions, computer-based learning and simulations. Topics of interest include ultrasound, fetal monitoring and obstetric emergencies.

Assignments are a minimum of two weeks. Volunteers must be qualified, licensed obstetricians and gynecologists. Contact Kim Rodgers, or complete the HVO volunteer application to get started.

HVO's Ob-Gyn program is supported by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
