Practice Management: Top 6 Reasons You Should Attend a 2018 Coding Workshop!

The path from a patient’s initial encounter or emergency surgery to final payment can often be a complex process with many moving pieces. To ensure payment for services, it’s critical for you and your staff to stay up to date on new and upcoming CPT and ICD-10 coding challenges, in addition to changes in government and payer rules. Overlooking just one step—or making the wrong coding entry—can result in a denial and delay in reimbursements.

ACOG is committed to helping you and your staff understand the best and most current coding practices. We’re pleased to announce that registration for our widely popular coding workshops is now open! The workshops in 2018 are offered in nine amazing locations for your convenience.

Each workshop is three days long, with sessions lasting from four to seven hours. The sessions cover coding, billing, the effective use of the ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems as they pertain to obstetrics and gynecology, in addition to the latest trending topics related to provider reimbursement. Physicians may attend one, two, or all three days, depending on their interest and their practices. Office staff may also be registered to attend if accompanied by the physician!

Here Are Six Reasons to Attend:

  1. Improve your bottom line—Learn how correct coding can positively affect your reimbursements
  2. Safeguard your practice—Understand the necessary steps to successfully transition to new payment models under Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA)
  3. Take home essential coding resources—Get comprehensive reference materials, including a workbook, case studies, and links on a variety of coding topics
  4. Learn about coding success stories from your colleagues—Network with your peers on common coding practices and issues
