Medical Education: Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology Announces 2017 Empower Award Winners

The Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) is pleased to name the inaugural recipients of its CREOG Empower Fund awards.

Congratulations to the recipients! Below is a list of the award winners and the projects they created:

  • Deepali Maheshwari, DO, MPH - “CREOG Podcasts” project
  • Daphna Stroumsa, MD - “Obstetrician-Gynecologists as Allies” project
  • Lydia Hartsell, MD, MPH - “Surgical Skills Online Video Database” project
  • Jessica Walter, MD - “Improving Informed Consent: A Video-Based Health IT Platform” project
  • Nancy Ortiz Rivera - “Residency Advocate Development (RAD) Track” project

The inaugural award recipients will be announced at the upcoming 2017 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting during the Awards Luncheon, where they will receive $2,000 education awards to create resources for ob-gyns and resident education. Award recipients will also present their projects at the 2018 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting and will join an esteemed group of past meeting presenters.

Both the CREOG Empower Fund Advisory Committee and the CREOG Council thanks those who applied for these awards and extend their congratulations to the recipients.
