Advocacy & Health Policy: ACOG 2017 Congressional Leadership Conference Breaks Records

In March, ACOG’s 35th Annual Congressional Leadership Conference (CLC), the President’s Conference, had over 600 attendees, far surpassing all previous years. After two days of intense advocacy training, attendees braved the wintery weather to ensure members of Congress heard ACOG's two very important asks. The message was simple: don’t turn back the clock on women’s health!

Our top advocates called on their members of Congress to:

  1. Vote NO on the American Health Care Act
  2. Reduce Maternal Mortality

ACOG CLC Takes to Social Media

Throughout the CLC, advocates created a buzz on Twitter and Facebook—posting pictures, videos, and other items in real-time with the hashtags #clc2017 and #obgynaction. Be sure to check out some of the buzz, and follow @acogAction on Twitter for new updates.

For more information on all of the topics covered at this year’s CLC, read the full agenda book, along with the required reading for each of ACOG’s asks.

The 2018 CLC will take place March 11 –13, 2018.
