The Mid-Atlantic Gynecologic Oncology Society will hold their “Annual Scientific Meeting” on October 8-10, 2009 in Hot Springs, VA.
ACOG designates this educational activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ or up to a maximum of 10 category 1 ACOG Cognate credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
1. Describe the evolution of proteomic technology and its application to the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic malignancies
2. Discuss recent advances, including robotics in the surgical management of gynecologic malignances
3. Evaluate novel chemotherapeutic agents, including targeted therapies used in the treatment of gynecologic cancers
4. Characterize the molecular signaling events underlying gynecologic cancers and how this knowledge will elucidate new directions for the treatment of these diseases
