Eurogin will hold their educational program entitled, "Human Papillomavirus Infection and Global Prevention of Cervical Cancer" on April 23-24, 2006 in Paris, France.
ACOG has approved this educational program to receive a maximum of 10 category 1 credits toward AMA Physician's Recognition Award or up to a maximum of 10 category 1 ACOG cognate credits.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be better able to:
1. Implement guidelines for cervical disease screening and management of cervical abnormalities.
2. Apply HPV DNA testing to clinical practice in a rational and cost-effective way; list and assess the different tools and techniques available in the field of HPV infection diagnosis and to adopt the most appropriate management strategy for patients.
3. Anticipate trends in biomarkers and genotyping for prevention. Integrate into practice the latest research findings.
4. Advise patients about the potential and limitations of emerging vaccines.
This includes the following items:
--to describe the current status of diagnostic principles for LSIL and HSIL and the corresponding management options.
--to list the new terminology categories for cervical lesions.
--to describe and use the latest topical methods of diagnosis and therapy for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection of the vulva, vagina and cervix.
