ACOG has established a new Mentor Award!


At the ACOG Committee on Honors and Recognitions meeting in 2009, the ACOG Mentor Award was established. 

 

The award will be given to an ACOG Fellow who has mentored a Young Physician or Junior Fellow in Practice.  Teachers of residents are not eligible.  The award requires a nomination by a Young Physician or Junior Fellow in Practice and must be associated with mentoring in the early years of practice.  

 

ACOG Mentor Award

 

Eligibility:      

Any ACOG Fellow who has actively mentored a Young Physician or Junior Fellow in Practice as they begin post residency practice.

 

Nominee:        

Any Young Physician or Junior Fellow in Practice who meets ACOG Young Physician criteria may nominate a mentor.

 

Submission Deadline:  

The deadline for nominations is February 1, 2010.

Award:           

Only one award for each District will be given annually.

 

Recognition:   

The winners will receive a certificate, a lapel pin and be highlighted in ACOG Today.
