This monograph is designed to enable obstetricians-gynecologists to:
Understand the pathophysiology and clinical approaches for the prevention and management of musculoskeletal pain
Monitor risk factors for musculoskeletal pain and screen patients accordingly
Counsel patients about lifestyle factors that decrease the risk of musculoskeletal pain
Evaluate patients with musculoskeletal pain and initiate management
Treat patients with uncomplicated musculoskeletal pain and make appropriate referrals of more complicated cases
