Elder Abuse Description
|
This monograph is designed to enable obstetricians-gynecologists to:
- Monitor patients at risk of elder abuse
- Recognize signs and symptoms of elder abuse
- Identify abusive situations and help patients consider their options
- Appropriately refer women who experience elder abuse and coordinate assistance with other professionals
- Intervene when a patient's well-being or safety is jeopardized and report abuse to authorities
Self-assessment questions are included at the end of each monograph. 5 CME credits will be awarded per issue. Complete and submit the CME questions on line - automatrically add 5 CME credits to your ACOG cognate transcript.
