This monograph is designed to enable obstetricians-gynecologists to:
  • Identify complementary and alternative medicine practices, including those that are biologic, manipulative, mind-body, and energy based
  • Identify practitioners of these modalities, including their training and license requirements
  • Understand the efficacy and dangers of such treatments
  • Understand the interaction of these modalties with standard medical treatments
  • Understand why patients use complementary and alternative therapies and be able to advise them on how to integrate these therapies safely into their total treatment regimen
Self-assessment questions are included at the end of each monograph. 5 CME credits will be awarded per issue.
