Presenting ACOG Service Award to Senator Robert Menendez (NJ)

I was able to thank Senator Debbie Stabenow (MI) for her sponsorship of ACOG’s Health Care for Women/Health Care for All legislation.  I had the honor of presenting ACOG’s service award to Senator Robert Menendez (NJ) for his work on postpartum depression legislation.  Senator Harry Reid (NV) and Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (CA), were among the movers and shakers I met.  Muhammad Ali was the guest of honor at one event, and a picture with him was a highlight.

The Government Relations Department is staffed with knowledgeable and hard working individuals.  Ms. Lucia DiVenere provided leadership and direction.  Ms. Stacie Miscikowski organized my schedule and lodging arrangements.  Ms. Nevena Minor, Mr. Joe Weissfeld, and Ms. Anna Hyde attended various events with me and assisted my assimilation into their department.  They had the legislative knowledge that helped me work effectively.
