Have you ever wondered who is on the many committees at ACOG that help to determine our professions future. We are priviliged enough to have several of our Volunteer colleagues who are currently serving on several committees. Dr. George Hill from Nashville, Tennessee is in private practice performing in a large infertility practice. He has been a long time contributor to the Committee on Coding and Nomenclature. Dr.Chris Welsch is in private practice in Jackson, Tennessee doing a general practice. Chris is also the newly elected Vice-Chairman for the Tennessee section. He is Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Ambulatory Practice Operations. Dr. Ted Anderson who is on faculty at Vanderbilt University and is also our Chairman of District 7 is on the Committee on Government Relations and Outreach as well as the ACOG Executive Committee. Also serving as an ex officio member of the ACOG Executive Committee representing the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology is Dr.Frank Ling from Memphis, TN. Dr.Jim Hays from Knoxville, TN was named to the Coding and Nomenclature Committee. Dr.Valerie Montgomery Rice who is Dean of Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN is on the Committee on Scientific Program which is responsible for the annual ACOG meetings. There is also a non-Ob/Gyn who represents the American Academy of Family Practice from Chattanooga, TN, Dr. Beth Choby.
