Purpose: The purpose of the Outstanding Faculty Award shall be to recognize those faculty in District IV who have made outstanding contributions to the training of obstetrician-gynecologists and who have enthusiastically supported the recruitment of Junior Fellows and the participation of Junior Fellows in the activities of ACOG.
Eligibility: Any full time faculty of an ob-gyn resident training program in District IV, or any past full time faculty of such a program, shall be eligible for nomination and receipt of this award.
Nomination Procedure: Nominations may be made by current Junior Fellow members of District IV. The nominations must be accompanied by documentation of facts and circumstances, which support the contention that an individual has made outstanding contributions to resident training and to Junior Fellow participation in District and National activities. Please send the nominee's CV and a short statement of support by March 1, 2009 to vfeldba@emory.edu
Selection: Selection shall be made at the Junior Fellow Advisory Council Meeting. Decision will be made by a majority vote of those members present. The award will be presented at the current year's Annual District Fall Meeting.
