We are now planning the 56th Annual Clinical Meeting (ACM), which will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana May 3-7, 2008. The scientific program will be outstanding with more innovative and hands-on sessions. The overall education has been taken to the next level to reflect the changing environment of women's heath care. New Orleans is an exciting city that has been rebuilding after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The convention center, hotels, French Quarter, and Garden District are now back and actually better than pre-Katrina levels. We understand that there are even more fabulous places to dine than before and the locals cannot wait to show us how beautiful and resilient the city is today.
ACOG is supporting a few activities that will assist the local community in the rebuilding process and we hope that your schedule will allow you to take the time to support these efforts. Some of the surrounding areas have not been so fortunate, and the tax money raised from meetings such as ours, as well as the overall economic impact of our presence is a much-needed resource to help the rebuilding effort.
