COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to update clinicians with the dramatic changes that have occurred over the past 5-10 years in the understanding of causes, screening methods, prevention, identification, and management of cervical precancer. The mechanism of carcinogenesis of human papillomavirus (HPV) on the cervix will be discussed, along with the new evidence-based consensus guidelines that were developed to guide clinicians in the management of patients with cervical precancer.
