Clinical Specialists Consulting, Inc. and Perinatal University will conduct their educational activity, "abcdEFM Method-Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring".  This web-based course will be available through July 31, 2013.

At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

1. Compare and contrast the 1997 and 2008 NICHD guidelines and terminology
2. Define fetal heart rate characteristics based on NICHD definitions
3. Define 5 primary FHR clinical triggers signaling both early and late FHR evolution
4. Incorporate Categories IIA and IIB into EFM practice and interpretation at the patient point of contact
5. Define and perform non-invasive intervention strategies prior to invasive options
6. Improve communication and documentation of EFM data
