CSC-Perinatal University "Perinatal Quality, Risk, Safety Initiative"

Clinical Specialists Consulting, Inc. and Perinatal University will conduct their educational activity, "Perinatal Quality, Risk, Safety Initiative". This web-based course will be available through July 31, 2013.

At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

1. Compare and contrast cervical ripening, augmentation, and induction agents regarding physiologic response, dose ranges, side effects, optimal results, and maternal-fetal impact

2. Discuss various interventions, maneuvers and procedures to improve oxygenation of the mother and fetus during the second stage to include: laboring down, positioning, supplemental oxygenation, pain relief, epidural impact and Pelvimetry

3. Evaluate an operative vaginal delivery initiative and practice algorithm to improve maternal, fetal and neonatal outcomes through collaborative team practice

4. Discuss statistical signficance and populations at potential risk for shoulder dystocia or cephalopelvic disproportion and labor dystocia

5. Identify statistical significance and key perinatal populations at risk for post partum hemorrhage
