The CLEAR lecture course provides comprehensive and current information on screening for risk of spontaneous preterm birth with cervical length measurement during the second trimester of pregnancy and preventive treatment with vaginal progesterone. The CLEAR lecture course provides skills-based information on techniques required to measure the cervix accurately.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • State a rationale for measurement of cervical length in the second trimester of pregnancy
  • Describe the content of professional statements related to cervical length measurements
  • Identify nine sonographic image and measurement criteria to improve accuracy of cervical length
  • Describe cervical length measurement pitfalls
  • Improve individual sonographic skills through participation in criteria-based cervical length measurement image review
