Live Events

Annual Meeting

Join your colleagues for the world’s preeminent ob-gyn event, held over five days each year in the Spring. ACOG designates the Annual Clinical Meeting for a maximum of 31 College Cognate credits or 31 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).

Annual District Meetings

ACOG is divided into 12 regional districts. Each district participates in its own annual meeting or one in combination with other districts. Annual District Meetings allow you to learn and collaborate with a community of your peers in a more intimate setting.

Congressional Leadership Conference

ACOG’s Annual Congressional Leadership Conference affords ob-gyns the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with U.S. Senators and Representatives. Join your colleagues in this rewarding experience. ACOG designates the Congressional leadership Conference for a maximum of 21 College Cognate credits or 21 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).

Postgraduate Courses

ACOG provides the best learning opportunities available to ob-gyns at their in-person and web-based postgraduate courses. Hands-on courses are presented over two or three days at exciting locations. The courses will help you increase self-assurance in your work to provide the best possible care to your patients.

The Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) Educational Programs

As ACOG’s arm dedicated to the promotion and the maintenance of excellence in residency education in obstetrics and gynecology, CREOG provides several educational opportunities each year designed for residency program directors and affiliated staff.

Enduring Materials

PROLOG (Personal Review of Learning in Obstetrics and Gynecology)

PROLOG is a voluntary and strictly confidential self-evaluation resource. Each of the five units of PROLOG addresses a major area in obstetrics and gynecology and consists of two parts—an assessment book and a critique book. Put your knowledge to the test and earn 25 CME credits.

ACOG eModules

This “anytime, anywhere” online educational product is a voluntary and confidential self-evaluation program on specific topics in obstetrics and gynecology. The content is carefully selected and presented as a multiple choice pre-test, rich up to date information on each topic, and post-test of the same multiple choice questions. 
ACOG designates ACOG eModules for a maximum of 7 College Cognate credits or 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).

Green Journal

ACOG’s scholarly publication Obstetrics & Gynecology, popularly known as "The Green Journal," publishes original articles and research studies on scientific advances, new medical and surgical techniques, obstetric management, and clinical evaluation of drugs and instruments.  ACOG fellows enjoy complete access to The Green Journal.

Clinical Updates in Women’s Health Care

This series of educational monographs is issued quarterly on a subscription basis. Each monograph in the series is clinically oriented and fully indexed to cover the issues ob-gyns must consider for the total care of women. Self-assessment questions are provided at the end of each monograph.

CME Committee and Mission Statement

*College Cognate Credits – The Cognate Program is open to all physician membership categories of the College. Through this voluntary educational program, the College records and maintains a computerized list of all member-reported CME activities.  An award will be issued to participants who successfully complete the program with a minimum of 150 Category 1 credits within a 3-year cycle.

**AMA’s Physician’s Recognition Awards (PRA) – The College has a reciprocity agreement with the AMA that allows AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)
to be equivalent to College Cognate Credits. Participants may claim College Cognate Credits or AMA PRA credits for qualified activities, but not both.
