Tip of the Month

May is National Osteoporosis Awareness and Prevention Month

As women age, they are at increased risk of osteoporosis (brittle bones). To prevent osteoporosis, focus on building and keeping as much bone as you can as early as you can. This can be done by being physically active and getting enough calcium and Vitamin D. After menopause, you should have a bone density test at age 65 years or earlier if you have one or more risk factors for osteoporosis.
