The Snow Meeting is the annual meeting of the Michigan Section of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Course Objectives:
- Discuss causes of medical errors
- Incorporate strategies to reduce patient harm in the office and hospital settings
- Understand risks of late preterm birth and develop guidelines to reduce the incidence of elective deliveries prior to 39 weeks
- Integrate ongoing research within our State into management of ovarian cancer
- Acknowledge heart disease as the leading cause of death among women and become knowledgeable on the latest treatments.
- Become familiar with maternal serum screening for aneuploidy using cell free DNA and review familial cancer syndromes
- Utilize ICD-10 coding workshop to understand new procedure and office codes
- Offer patients innovative, non-surgical treatment for chronic pelvic pain
- Increase knowledge about care of the bereaved mother
- Review dermatologic changes in pregnancy
- Prepare for the Maintenance of Certification exam
