FPQC Meeting Info

Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative’ s Second Annual Conference

This Conference will focus on perinatal health-related, evidence-based quality improvement (QI) initiatives taking place in Florida and across the nation in order to improve health outcomes of mothers and babies. Speakers from key organizations – such as The Joint Commission, the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative and the Ohio Perinatal Quality Collaborative – will discuss these programs, their implementation, successes and challenges.

OB-related speakers’ topics will include the five perinatal quality core measures that will become mandatory in 2014, antenatal steroids and the opportunities for collaboration as well as Ohio’s statewide progesterone project. In addition, there will be smaller “Hot Topics” break-out sessions for attendees to discuss their own possibilities to develop initiatives around progesterone, antenatal steroids and Strong Start.

This Conference will be a great chance to network with other perinatal health-related practitioners as well as advocates, educators and payers who want to advance the health care quality of mothers and babies.

Dates:                   March 21-22, 2013

Location:             USF Health's Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation in Tampa, FL
